Maruti Suzuki has rolled out the upgraded Swift Dzire in India at a starting price of Rs 5.07 lakh, ex-Delhi. The car is being offered in both petrol and diesel variants. There are a total of seven variants to choose from. The prices of 2015 Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire ex-Delhi are Dzire petrol Lxi – Rs 5.07 lakh, Dzire petrol Lxi (O) – Rs 5.20 lakh, Dzire petrol Vxi – Rs 5.85 lakh, Dzire petrol Zxi – Rs 6.80 lakh, Dzire diesel Ldi – Rs 5.99 lakh, Dzire diesel Vdi – Rs 6.85 lakh and the top end Dzire diesel Zdi- Rs 7.81 lakh.
Both petrol and diesel engines of the car are the same as in that of the previous model but some improvements have been made to enhance the fuel efficiency. The petrol variant is powered by the 84.3PS/115Nm 1.2-litre K-series VVT petrol engine with a higher compression ratio and a compact combustion chamber to increase the fuel efficiency to 20.85kmpl. Earlier, the car offered fuel efficiency of 17.94kmpl. There is almost 3 kmpl hike in mileage which is quite an appreciable work by the engineers of Maruti Suzuki. The diesel variant is powered by 1.3l 75PS/190Nm engine with an advanced thermal management system along with engine oil optimised for low friction and modified fuel injection system. With the help of these tweaks, the new Swift Dzire diesel delivers a mileage of 26.59kmpl. Earlier it was 23.02kmpl. Thus there is hike of almost 3.5 kmpl . With this mileage, the company claims this to be most fuel efficient diesel car in Indian market. The petrol engine of the Swift Dzire is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 4speed automatic transmission. The diesel engine gets the choice of only being mated to an 5 speed manual.
On the interior, we see a some little good improvements for comfort. The new Swift features the push button start, electrically retractable ORVMs, Bluetooth-enabled audio system and new upholstery. The Maruti Suzuki is being offered in 4 new colours .There are a lot of changes that can be seen on this new model, which gives a new stylish look the Swift Dzire. Now, there is a thick chrome bar across the grille, a la Amaze and new bumpers, fog lamps with the same L-shaped inserts as the Swift, new alloys for the top-end variants and black inserts in the headlamps. There are also parking sensors at the rear to guide the driver for a safe parking.
