Meizu Metal smartphone launched with Octa core processor

Meizu has come up with a new smartphone named Meizu Metal. It promises great display and performance with high-end hardware.

ABOUT MEIZU

Meizu Technology Co. Ltd. is a Chinese electronics company. It has its headquarters in Zhuhai, China. It was founded in the year 2003. Initially, Meizu was as a manufacturer of MP3 players and MP4 players but from the year  2008 Meizu started making smartphones. The Meizu M8 was the first smartphone launched by the company.

DISPLAY & BATTERY

The Meizu Metal comes with an impressive display. The smartphone boasts a 5.5-inch full HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution LTPS display. It comes with by 2.5D curved glass and T2X-1 glass protection. It has got dimensions 150.7×75.3×8.2mm and weighs 162 grams. It is covered with a metal body. The smartphone stays alive by getting the energy from a 3140mAh battery.

PRICE AND AVAILABILITY

The Meizu Metal 16GB inbuilt storage variant will cost CNY 1,099 (approximatelyly Rs. 11,300)  and the 32GB variant can be bought at CNY 1,299 (approximately Rs. 13,300. The registrations have already begun  and  customers can own this smartphone from November 2 onwards. Currently, we have no ins and outs about the global availability and pricing

SOFTWARE & HARDWARE

The Meizu Metal smartphone works on Flyme 5.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Flyme 5.1 on top. The Meizu Metal smartphone is driven by a mighty 2 Ghz 64-bit octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor. It is accompanied by a PowerVR G6200 GPU. Users will get super fast performance, thanks to 2GB LPDDR3 RAM. Speaking on the Storage option, the Meizu metal offers  two inbuilt storage variants – 16GB and 32GB, which is enough to store all your files, photographs, songs and apps . Users will also have the power to expandup to 128GB via microSD card. The handset is a Dual SIM supporting one. The second SIM slot is a Hybrid one, which means you can use it both as a SIM slot as well as a Micro SD card slot.

CAMERA & CONNECTIVITY

The cameras offered in the Meizu Metal seem to be great. The handset has got a 13-megapixel rear camera at the back with f/2.2 aperture, 5P lenses and Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF). The rear camera also also boasts Dual-tone LED flash. Users can click selfies and make video calls using the  5-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone features connectivity features including GPS, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB.

Meizu m2 was launched earlier at a price of Rs. 6,999. It sports a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display and is guarded by AGC Dragontrail protective glass. It runs on a 1.3Ghz 64-bit quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor and Mali T720 GPU. It is loaded with 2GBRAM. It offers 16GB of Internal storage, which is expandable via Micro SD.The handset features a 13-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. There is also a  a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
