Well, the wait is finally over for the Verizon and T-Mobile OnePlus 8 users! The devices have started receiving the Android 11 update starting from today, 30 January 2021. But it really take little long for the carrier owned devices to receive an update. It’s so because the unlocked OnePlus 8 devices have already received the update from mid-October, almost three months before. But the carrier owned devices are receiving the same starting from today.
Whatever, but the Verizon and T-Mobile OnePlus 8 users can now enjoy the Android 11 goodies on their Smartphones. So if you are a user of the said devices, then you must start checking the same in the About Section of your handset. You are checking, that doesn’t mean the update must be there. It might also take some time to reach your Smartphone being this rolled in instalments. So you might get it instantly on check, or might have to wait for a week or even a month to install on your device.
Now coming to the features of the Android 11 update, it comes with the build name IN2019_15_210110 and packs the November 2020 security patch level. Other changes in the update includes fresh UI focusing on one-handed usability, Game Space, the highly requested Ambient Display, improved Zen Mode, and much more.
