Sony launches Android 4.4.4 KitKat update for Sony Xperia T3 Smartphones

Great News guys! Sony has started rolling the brand new official android 4.4.4 KitKat update for the different variants of the Sony Xperia T3 Smartphones all over the world. So if you are a user of any of the variants of  the Sony T3 Smartphone, then its your right to check the notification panel of your Smartphone right now to detect the official update. If it’s already there, then it’s fun time for you. You can download and install the firmware on your Smartphone right now to enjoy the real time KitKat experience.

As usual the firmware is being rolled in segments and hence it might take little time for you to get the firmware in your device. So if you have so far not received the firmware, then nothing to worry. It might be on its way to your device. But before that let me make clear about the firmware build and model details of the T3 device that have received the update. Info reveals that the firmware has been launched for the T3 LTE D5103 and D5106 models, D5102 3G model of the Smartphone. All these Smartphones so far were running the Android 4.2.2 KitKat firmware and users of course were expecting the Smartphones to get the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. But by revealing the KitKat 4.4.4 update in the iterim, Sony has made it clear that there is long time now for the devices to get the Lollipop update.

As in the previous paragraph I informed you that the firmware is being rolled for both the LTE and 3G HSPA versions of the Sony T3 Smartphone, so let’s know which firmware build is available for which variant. Reportedly, the T3 LTE D5103 and D5106 models are receiving the 18.1.A.2.25 build and the D5102 3G HSPA+ Xperia T3 device is receiving the 18.1.A.2.32 build. So accordingly the users can choose their firmware version. So far there is no revelation on the official chngelog from Sony. But what we assume, this new firmware will enhance the flexibility of your device and will bring you a superior firmware to enact.

Remember, that the update is being rolled only for the stock firmware T3 device and hence will not be available for device already running a third party firmware. It’s obvious that it will take little time for all the devices to receive the OTA. So if you have already received the firmware and have already installed it on your Smartphone, then forget not to let’s know if you mark any major changes in your device post update.
