Tata Hexa finally makes way to the Indian Market, Base Model starts at Rs. 11.99 Lakh

Tata, the leading Indian car manufacturer has finally launched the much hyped and most talked about car of the year, the Tata Hexa. All speculations are ended with this launch and the car has been launched into the market with 6 variants with the base model starting price of Rs. 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The car has been in talks since last few months with pre-booking from Nov. 2016.

Unless you are a professional, the Tata Hexa will seem very similar to your eyes to that of the Aria crossover, but in fact a lot many improvisations have been made in the former to match its class to the other leading Cars in the competitor segment such as the Mahindra XUV500 and Toyota Innova Crysta. Now let’s take a look on the features and specs of the car. Starting with the Engine, the Tata Hexa runs on a 2.2-litre Varicor diesel engine which is also available in a couple of variants in terms of torque. The first variant named XE is powered by a 150PS/320Nm torque and is supported by a 5-speed manual transmission. The other variants such as XM, XMA, XT, XTA and XT 4×4 will run on the 156PS/400Nm engine with the XTA and XMA models supporting a 6-speed auto gearbox with 6 speed transmission.

Talking about the features, the Tata Hexa comes equipped with many. Even the base model is equivalent to the mid-level feature pack of almost all other cars. To make you more clear, the base model Hexa even packs dual Air Bags with Disc break for all wheels, all four power windows and above all ABS & EBD safety measures. Besides, the users also get manual rear AC vents at all three rows, 12V power sockets on the first two rows, cooled upper glovebox, 6-speaker surround sound system with ConnectNext tech, projector headlights and LED taillights.

Moving to the upper models such as XM & XMA, the Tata Hexa packs back parking sensors, Harman touchscreen infotainment system with Voice recognition feature, 8 speaker Surround sound, ambient lighting, hill hold control in the XMA, super drive modes in the XM, and sports mode in the XMA Models. But the three Hexa variants i.e. XT, XTA and XT 4×4 are filled with all features which further includes (along with the ones mentioned above), auto climate control, chrome accents on the outside, 19-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, and fog lamps with daytime running lights. The four-wheel-drive-system will only be found in the XT 4×4 variant.

So going ahead of the integrated features, if any Hexa owner will need to add some other features to their car, then Tata offers three  predefined kits i.e. Tuff, Luxe and Expedition for further customization of your car. Standalone accessories for the Hexa only Model of Tata is available from the manufacturer too.
