Volvo has finally launched the second generation 2015 XC90 in India. It has been priced at Rs 64.9 lac (Ex-Showroom, Mumbai, pre-Octroi). The new Volvo SUV will be offered only with a diesel powerplant. It will have two variants – Momentum Luxury and Inscription Luxury. The Momentum Luxury is priced at Rs. 64.9 lac while the Inscription will cost Rs. 77.9 lac. The new Volvo XC90 is based on Swedish manufacturer’s new SPA (Scalable Platform Architecture).Volvo dealers have already begun the booking of the new Volvo XC90. The SUV is expected to be delivered in the month of September this year.
Under the hood, the Volvo is boosted by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder twin-turbocharged engine . The engine of the car delivers a maximum power of 225 hp at 4,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 470 Nm in between 1750-2500 rpm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The power is transmitted to all four wheels by an All Wheel Drive system.
On the interior, it offers a four zone climate control with individual louvers for all the seven seats. Customers will also get many standard safety. The new XC90 features Volvo’s new Sensus infotainment system that comes with a 12.3-inch central customizable touch screen. The Decibels are powered by 19-speaker 1400W Bowers & Wilkins audio system.
Volvo is currently testing a new Electricity powered bus in Sweden. The electric bus is 10.7 metres long and can accommodate up to 86 passengers. The buses are equipped with quick-charge battery packs that can be replenished using renewable electricity.
Audi India is all set to launch Audi RS6. The Audi RS6 Avant is scheduled to be launched in India on June 4, 2015 . The vehicle is expected to be priced between Rs 1 crore and 1.25 crore. The Audi RS6 is powered by a 4.0-litre TFSI biturbo V8 petrol engine The engine produces a maximum power of 560PS and a peak torque 700Nm of torque. The engine of this beast is coupled to an eight-speed tiptronic gearbox. The Audi RS6 can reach a top speed of 305kmph, it can race a 0-100kmph in just 3.9s. The car is loaded with 20-inch wheels. Customers can also avail this vehicle with 21-inch wheels. The Audi RS6 sports the dashing Matrix lights. The RS6 will feature single-piece grille, the new LED DRLs and new taillights.
