Dell has rolled out the new Venue 10 and Venue 10 Pro tablets and the refreshed Chromebook 11 laptop.The Dell Venue 10 Tablet runs Android 5.0 Lollipop. The Android 5.0 Lollipop offers a legion of features including new material design, additional security, new APIs and more battery life. This tablet is one of the few tablets that have been certified with Google Play for Education. The tablet features NFC that enables teachers to transfer content to students in very simple and faster way. For now, the price for the Dell Venue 10 has not been been revealed.
The Dell Venue 10 Pro also features 10.1-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) or full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) displays. The Dell Venue 10 Pro device runs Windows 8.1 OS. The Venue 10 Pro standalone tablet have been priced starting at $329.99 (roughly Rs. 20,500) and the ones with keyboard are a bit more costly at $379.99 (roughly Rs. 23,600). The tablet can be purchased from Dell.com in the US and select countries starting 3rd March .
All the specifications of these devices have not been revealed by the company. But, according to reports from Android Police the tablets will be powered by Intel Atom processors and will have 10 hours of battery life. The Dell venue tablets will also have features like microSD card slot, NFC support full-size USB ports, Micro-USB charging port and an LTE SIM slot.
The revamped Chromebook 11 sports an 11.6-inch screen having a resolution of 1366×768 pixels. It is powered by a 2.16Ghz dual-core Intel ‘Bay Trail-M’ Celeron processor. The laptop offers 16GB of flash storage. The new Chromebook 11 can go flat with its 180-degree hinge which, is quite interesting. Other features in the Dell chromebook include a Gorilla Glass screen, a MIL-STD 810G tested case for pressure, temperature, shock, and vibration resistance. Users will no longer need to worry about lamination and keyboard guard as it comes with a sealed keyboard and touchpad for spill protection.
The new Dell Chromebook 11 with 2GB for RAM is priced at $249 (roughly Rs. 15,500), while the 4GB RAM model is being offered at $299 (roughly Rs. 18,600). Customers can also avail a touchscreen variant of the Dell Chromebook 11 with 4GB of RAM that is priced at $329 (roughly Rs. 20,500). Dell is also offering a version of the new Chromebook 11 with a choice of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. The laptops are available via the company’s Online store in US and some other select regions.
