Gionee has launched a new smartphone the Gionee Elife S7 At its MWC 2015 event in Barcelona . The smartphone is priced at EUR 399 (approximately Rs. 24,200) and its Indian launch is scheduled on April 3. The new handset will be offered in Los Angeles Black, North Pole White and Maldives Blue.
It features a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) Super Amoled display with a pixel density of 424ppi, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The body has grooved sides, known as the U-shaped skeleton. The frame is made of aviation-grade alloy and features a stainless steel sheet with nano-molding plastic. The handset measures 139.8×67.4×5.5mm and weighs 127 grams. It is a Dual SIM handset.
The Elife S7 is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6572 SoC . The Slim smartphone features 2GB of RAM. There 16GB of inbuilt storage on the smarphone but sadly there is no scope for expansion of memory .The Gionee Elife S7 runs the company’s Amigo 3.0 UI on top of Android 5.0 Lollipop.
The camera features on this new lean phone are great. The Gionee Elife S7 features a 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front facingshooter for making video calls. Speaking on the connectivity, the Gionee Elife S7 supports 4G. Apart from that the handset also has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/ A-GPS and FM Radio.
The handset is backed by a massive 2,750mAh battery . Gionee says that the battery would last for about 24hours. It comes with many power saving features like extreme mode that enables last 10 percent of battery power to last for another 33 hours 45 minutes of standby time.
Pioneer P6 was listed on its site in the month of January without detailing official price or availability. The Gionee Pioneer P6 via an e-commerce website. It sports a 5-inch (480×854 pixels) FWVGA display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Cortex A7 (unspecified chipset) processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and Mali 400 MP GPU. The Gionee Pioneer P6 comes with 8GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable upto 32 GB via microSD The Pioneer P6 is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone and runs the Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. It features a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, while there is a secondary 2-megapixel front-facing camera also onboard. The connectivity features of the Gionee Pioneer P6 incude GPRS/ EDGE , 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth options. The smartphone packs a 1950mAh battery, which is credited to deliver up to 13.5 hours of talk time and up to 162 hours of standby time on 2G network.
