How to install Android 7.0 Nougat T819XXU2BSA1 Firmware on Samsung Galaxy Tab S2

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 users can now officially upgrade their tab to the powerful Android Nougat OS that comes with build number T819XXU2BSA1. The firmware is being Over The Air in countries like Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Algeria, Kenya, Iran and Nigeria. To flash the firmware on your galaxy tab via OTA, check the notification panel>download the firmware and follow the appearing instruction to complete the flashing process.

But if you are an Android savvy and love to tweak your Android device, then you can follow the manual update method. It’s also an official update, but in a manual way. To flash the firmware manually on your Samsung Galaxy tab S2, follow the below given step-by-step guide. Requirements

  1. One Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 SM-T819
  2. One Windows PC
  3. One Original USB cable
  4. Backup all your personal data using a backup app
  5. Minimum battery should be above 60%
  6. Enable the USB Debugging option on your handset to get your device connected to your PC. Forget not to disable USB post update.
  7. Disable all antivirus programs.

Procedure to update Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 to Android 7.0 Nougat
  1. First of all check all the above requirements and then proceed to download the files. Download the Kies and install it on your PC.
  2. Then Download the firmware package and Odin on your your PC. Extract both the files and place on your desktop.
  3. Double click on Odin to launch it on your PC.
  4. Then switch off your Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 to enter it into download mode. Do that by press holding the VOL DOWN KEY+HOME+POWER buttons. Press the VOL UP button next to continue when you see a warning triangle on your device screen.
  5. Connect the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 to PC via USB. The ID: COM box turns yellow after connecting to the device. If this doesn’t happen then you might not have selected the Kies.
  6. Then select “AP/PDA” on Odin screen and choose the file with tar.md5 extension from the extracted firmware folder on desktop. Make sure that the “Auto Reboot” and “F.Reset” Time checkboxes are ticked in ODIN and the Re-Partition button is unchecked.
  7. After choosing the right options, click on Start in the Odin box to start the firmware update. The entire process will take around 4-5 minutes and the phone will reboot automatically.
  8. After the pass message appears, detach the USB cable.
