How to update Samsung Galaxy A40 SM-A405FN to Android 9 A405FNXXU1ASC7 Firmware

Requirement
  1. One Samsung Galaxy A40 SM-A405FN
  2. Computer (Windows XP or Windows 7)
  3. Original USB Cable
  4. Enable the USB Debugging on your handset by going to settings>application>development and tick the USB Debugging box. Do not forget to untick it after the update is finished.
  5. Backup all personal data such as SMS, MMS, videos, music, apps, contacts, messages, apps etc present in phone using a backup app to avoid data loss.
  6. Keep at least 50% power on your Smartphone to avoid auto shutdown during update.

How to Update 
  1. First make sure the Samsung Galaxy A40 SM-A405FN is not rooted, else it may not update properly.
  2. After download the Android 9 Pie A405FNXXU1ASC7 Firmware for your Samsung Galaxy A40 and next download Odin. Do not rename it.
  3. After extract both the downloaded files to your PC and place them on the desktop for easy finding during update.
  4.  Switch off the Samsung Galaxy A40 and put it into download mode.
  5. Then double click on Odin, launch it and then with the help of USB connect the Smartphone to your PC. Soon the ID:COM box in Odin turns yellow indicating that the device is properly connected.
