Microsoft Lumia 550 with Windows 10 launched

The premium smartphone Microsoft Lumia 950  was launched in India. But, this Windows 10 powered handset was well out of budget for many.  Microsoft’s Lumia 550 has finally come to India at an affordable price. Currently, this smartphone is the Cheapest Windows 10 powered device available.  The handset wil be available for purchase at Rs. 9,399.  The device can be bought in Glossy White and Matte Black colours.


Microsoft Lumia 550 bears a 4.7-inch HD display (720×1280 pixels) resolution and offers a pixel density of 315ppi. The handset has dimensions 136.1×67.8×9.9mm. The handset is powered by a 2100mAh battery. The company claims that the battery is is expected deliver up to 14 hours on 3G,16 hours of talk time on 2G, and 17 hours on 4G and 28 days of standby time. The Lumia 550 works on Latest Windows 10 that offer many new features and options like Voice Asiistant Cortana, Glance screen, improved Microsoft Office and much more


 A 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor is pumping the power to drive the smartphone. It is coupled with Adreno 304 GPU. You can complete the tasks with the 1GB of RAM. On the storage front, the device 8GB of inbuilt storage. You can upgrade the memory up to 200GB via Micro SD card.  The Lumia 550 supports single Micro-SIM. The handset is equipped with ambient light sensor, accelerometer and proximity sensors.


The camera features are decent. You will get a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with f/2.4 aperture. It is accompanied by LED Flash and has the capability  to shoot HD videos. For selfie clickers, there is a 2-megapixel shooter on the front with f/2.8 aperture.  The connectivity options in this device include 4G LTE (Cat. 4) connectivity e Bluetooth 4.1, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with hotspot functionality A-GPS and FM radio.
