WhatsApp to stop working on these Android and iOS Phones from January 1, Check Your Model

Every year WhatsApp stops supporting some Operating Systems. Previous year, it had stopped support for Windows and Blackberry Devices. This year in 2021, WhatsApp will stop functioning on some Android and iOS devices. So let’s know in detail.

In the beginning of the year 2021, WhatsApp will stop supporting some Android and iOS operated devices. According to reports, WhatsApp the Smartphones running on Android 4.0.3, iOS 9 or the below Operating Systems. To tell straight, WhatsApp will not work on iPhone 4 and its previous models. But you can update your phone if you have the upper models such as iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S.

Telling about Android, the Smartphones that run on Android 4.0.3 and below versions, can’t use WhatsApp from January 1. The Smartphones that come in this list are HTC Desire, LG Optimus Black, Motorola Droid Razr and Samsung Galaxy S2 etc.

You can check the OS and version of your handset by going to Settings > About section of your device. You will get all details in the About Section of your Smartphone from where you can know if WhatsApp will support your device or not.

Worth mentioning that lots of new features are about to be added to WhatsApp in the new year and according to WABetaInfo, many special features are to be added to this app. After the next update, the users can copy paste numerous photos and videos from one chat head to another. This feature is in testing phase now.
