Xiaomi Mi A1 starts receiving the November Security patch

Xiaomi Mi A1, one of Xiaomi’s most popular handsets has started receiving the November 2017 Security patch update. The Xiaomi created and Google powered handset is receiving the security patch update over the air in different markets across the globe and might reach your region or handset at any point of time. So keep an eagle eye on the notification panel of your handset to flash it right away.

Even some Mi A1 users have already received and flashed the Security patch update on their handsets, the which photo they have left in the XDA Developer forum. Once you get the notification on your device, it confirms that the security patch will not only improve security of your handset, but will make it stable and fix all bugs in it. The update is also claimed to enhance the stability and performance of your device.

But the deviation is that while few users are getting the firmware of 467MB, some others are getting it over 1GB of size. In this case, you are suggested not to use your mobile data to download the firmware as connecting to a WiFi network will do the installation process more simple. However, this update doesn’t carry the Android Oreo update and hence you need to wait for some more days. Might the company release the Oreo update in near future.

While in the market two variants of the Xiaomi Mi A1 i.e. Black and Gold was present before, this Monday Xiaomi unveiled the Rose Gold color variant. From Tuesday it went on sale and was available on FlipKart, Mi.com, Mi Home stores, Mi Preferred Partner stores, and retail partner stores. But price of the device remains the same, Rs.14,999.
