Vaio launches its first Android powered smartphone

We all know about the stylish Vaio laptops and now its turn for the Vaio smartphone. Vaio has rolled out its first smartphone in Japan. Vaio was originally a brand of Sony Corporation. Sony sold it to the Japan Industrial Partners in February 2014. Now Sony holds a stake of just 5 % in Vaio. The Vaio Phone (VA-10J) sports a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS OGS display. It has dimensions 141.5×71.3×7.95mm and weighs 130 grams.   It is a single-SIM (micro SIM) handset and supports Micro-SIM cards. The Vaio Phone (VA-10J) will be offered only  in Black colour. The Vaio Phone (VA-10J) comes with a high clarity 13-megapixel rear camera along with an LED flash wich is capable of recording 1080p videos, there is a 5-megapixel front-facing camera which can be used for clicking selfies and also making video calls .

It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The device features 2 GB of fast  RAM.  The smartphone offers 16GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable up to 64 GB via microSD card. The new Vaio smartphone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop . On the connectivity front, the The Vaio Phone (VA-10J) supports Wi-fi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, and Micro-USB. . It is backed by a 2500mAh non-removable battery that is rated to deliver up to 13 hours of talk time and 500 hours of standby time.

The Vaio Phone (VA-10J) smartphone has been priced at JPY 51,000 (roughly Rs. 26,350) for the unlocked model. It can also be purchased at JPY 4,000 (roughly Rs. 2,070) that comes with unlimited data plans from the Japanese telecom carrier B-mobile. The Vaio smartphone will be available for purchase starting March 20. Currently, we have no official reports on the global availability of this handset.

Sony has launched the Xperia Z4 Tablet at MWC 2015, Barcelona. It features a 10.1-inch 2560×1600 pixel IPS Triluminos display. The tablet weighs 395 grams. Xperia Z4 Tablet and Xperia Z4 Tablet LTE run on the 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 SoC coupled with Adreno 430 GPU. There is 3GB of RAM inside to offer superfast performance. The tablet features 32GB of built-in storage that can be expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card. It sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with an Exmor RS sensor.  There is a 5-megapixel front-facing with a wide-angle lens camera for making video calls or clicking selfie,. The Sony Speria Z4 tablet comes  with Connectivity options like NFC, 4G LTE (Nano-SIM), Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with Direct and hotspot functionality, Micro USB, Bluetooth v4.1 with A2DP, GPS/ A-GPS with GLONASS and FM radio with RDS. The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet packs a non-removable 6000mAh.
