Mark Zuckerberg confirms multi-device support is coming to WhatsApp soon with other features too. WhatsApp is the world’s number one instant messaging service but losing valuable users these days due to the recently introduced privacy policy update. Users are moving to its competitors in search of privacy as the new privacy policy of WhatsApp might make it public. That’s why WhatsApp is introducing three new features i.e Multiple Device Support, View once and Disappearing Mode.
The Facebook-owned messaging app, WhatsApp of late was going through hard times regarding privacy policy and that triggered users to migrate to Telegram and Signal Apps. This outrage seems to subside the user’s values for privacy. So Whatsapp continues adding new features even after introducing new features like voice playing speed and voice note review for android in last few weeks.
The below modifications are new on the app and will hit by the coming month. This was confirmed by WhatsApp CEO, Will Cathcart, and Facebook founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg in an interview with WABetaInfo.
Multi-Device Support on WhatsApp
The WhatsApp Multi-device support will be a one of its kind feature that will allow four devices to connect a single account and sync data to all these devices properly, even if the battery of your Smartphone dies. Though, it’s really challenging, but WhatsApp has fruitfully fixed this issue.
“It’s been a big technical challenge to get all your messages and content to sync properly across devices even when your phone battery dies, but we’ve solved this and we’re looking forward to getting it out soon!” says Zuckerberg.

View Once on WhatsApp
The View Once might prove a feature worth requirements for many as this feature will delete any media file from the chat head once seen by the readers. This feature is equivalent to the view once feature in the Facebook owned Instagram. This feature will be applicable for both Photos and videos. This new feature might be made available to the users in a public beta form within the next couple of months.
Disappearing Mode on WhatsApp
Previous year WhatsApp introduced a seven day timer on sent messages named as Disappearing Messages Feature. Now the company plans for expansion of the package by adding a disappearing mode which will allow users to apply disappearing messages across all chat thread of WhatsApp. On turning on this feature, all WhatsApp threads will turn into disappearing threads and the chats will be deleted after a fixed period of time, though nothing has been cleared about WhatsApp’s exact timer option.
