Rooting Realme Narzo 20 Pro is easy and here it is explained how to do it by using Magisk manager. Before rooting the device it is necessary to unlock the bootloader of the device and then installing the TWRP Recovery to complete the process.

Once the Realme Narzo 20 PRO is been rooted can’t return back to its original ROM unless it is been treated with Official stock ROM. So do think a bit more times to root the device and bear the warranty loss. You won’t be able to get official OTA updates on your Smartphone. Pre-Requirements
- Realme Narzo 20 PRO
- Windows PC
- You must have a network with 4G connectivity on your PC or laptop what you are using to download files from here
- The original USB cable must be used or else the device will not get detected. Download Realme USB Drive
- Battery power must be roughly 40% or more to stay away from automatic shutdown
- Back up all the personal data present on the phone through backup apps
How to Unlock the bootloader Narzo 20 PRO
- Check the latest OS by going to Settings> About>Software Update
- After that open the Unlock Tool APK and then tap on Start application
- Accept the agreement and tap on Submit Application
- Realme Server checks the application for 1 hour so you need to keep patience.
- The messages appear Review Successful in the app, then proceed to unlock bootloader
- Tap on Start the in-depth test from the app that will automatically reboot the phone to Fastboot mode.
Steps to be performed on PC
- Download and set up the SDK platform tool on PC.
- Then extract the download zip with proper unzipping software on PC
- Open the extracted folder and type cmd on the address bar and hit the enter to open CMD
- Then press enter and a command window open that means you need to connect the Narzo 20 Pro with a USB cable.
- Then type the following command to reboot the device to bootloader mode.
adb reboot bootloader
- Then press enter and type the next command that is
Fastboot flashing unlock
- The above command will unlock the Realme phone bootloader.
- Come back to the phone and press the volume down key to select Unlock The Bootloader and then press the power button to confirm.
You have now successfully unlocked the bootloader of Realme Narzo 20 Pro.
Install TWRP Recovery on Realme Narzo 20 Pro
- First, download the TWRP recovery file on PC
- Then move the TWRP Recovery .img file to SDK platform folder and rename the recovery file to twrp.img
- After that enable the developer option in your phone in settings >About Phone >Version information and then tap the Version number 7-8 times
- Enable the USB debugging in Settings>Other settings>Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
- Now come back to PC and open the platform-tools folder and type CMD in the address bar of the platform tool folder and press enter.
- Boot the device to fast boot mode by switching off the phone and then press the VOL UP BUTTON+ POWER BUTTON at the same time and release the button when the fastboot mode opens.
- Connect the device to PC using USB cable and allow the attachment.
- Then type the following command to boot the phone in bootloader mode
adb reboot bootloader
- then press enter and type the following command
fastboot devices
- then type the above command to flash TWRP recovery on Realme Narzo 20 Pro
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
You have successfully installed TWRP recovery.
Root Realme Narzo 20 Pro Using Magisk
This rooting won’t stop OTA update to hit your phone, so without any fear root your device now because it will open up several benefits.
- First, download the Magik Zip and manager apk on your phone
- Then move the Magisk zip file to sd card or internal memory
- Make sure you have installed the custom recovery on your phone
- Now boot the device to recovery mode by pressing VOL DOWN+ POWER BUTTON at the same time and release the button when you see Boot Animation
- Tap and install from the TWRP recovery page and locate the Magisk.zip file from the SD card and select it.
- After that tap on Swipe to confirm flash
- Then reboot the device and install Magisk Manager APK
You have successfully rooted Realme Narzo 20 Pro easily.
Check the device is rooted or not
- First of all download the Root Checker App from Google Play Store.
- Then Open the App → Click Verify Root
Now, here you will see the message “Congratulations! Root access is properly installed on this device” if your device has been successfully rooted.
Unroot Realme Narzo 2 Pro
If you want to unroot the device then open the Magisk manager app then click on the Uninstall. After few seconds a pop-up screen with a complete uninstall message appears. The app will ask the permission so you need to grant it to unroot Narzo 20 Pro. Automatically the unrooting package will get downloaded and the phone reboot.
